We met initially through mutual friends on the UWEC Cheer & Stunt team, but didn't say more than a simple "hi" until a mutual friend through the UWEC Computer Science department (Shane) hosted his graduation party in December 2019. Our relationship really blossomed when Shane & Alex took Sarah home from campus after she returned from the Blugold Marching Band (BMB) International Trip to Australia & New Zealand in February 2020.

We had gone out to the bars as a group of three with Shane following Sarah's return from the BMB trip for about a week when Shane decided he didn't want to one night. With intentions of finding other friends while out, we reluctantly decided to go as just the two of us and didn't end up finding anyone else at the bars. Alex bought us both drinks at The Pioneer and we got to talking at a table. As hours flew by, we discovered a common love for SpongeBob SquarePants, cats, technology, the Marvel cinematic universe, and so much more. It was at that bar that we both knew we were meant for each other.
